A World Free of High Risk Roads

Tuesday 15th September 2015 from 09h00 to 13h00

Royal Horseguards Hotel

EuroRAP is the enabling host for the major week-long FIA Mobility Conference 2015. Registration is already at record levels. Some 70 countries are attending.

The following week the United Nations will adopt Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and one of them is to make a global commitment to halve road deaths by 2020.

We have a special event to launch how RAPs around the world will help step up to deliver this goal – see www.eurorap.org/conference.

Lord Robertson, the former NATO Secretary General who did much to promote the SDG, will open our event. From the host country, the Chairman of Highways England will talk of their new commitment to reach 3-star or better on the national network.

Stephen Stacey will present the massive scale of our work together across 25 European countries. Rob McInerney will launch a new 70 country Vaccines for Road global report from Chile to China.

From around the world, Ministers, banks, consulting engineers and NGOs will address 3-star minimum infrastructure. The new UN Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt will give a keynote. Our much loved Road Safety Ambassador, leading actress Michelle Yeoh, will also speak.

The event will be the biggest RAP event yet. Please make sure you, or people who need to be there, join us! If you haven’t already, please email Sally (sally.kinchin@eurorap.org) to confirm you are coming. Places are in very high demand!
