


The establishment of RAP Centres of Excellence is designed to focus expertise, ownership and leadership for the programmes at a technical level. The Centres of Excellence are peak organisations that have a demonstrated excellence in road safety engineering and are focused on activities for the public good.
The purpose of a CoE is to oversee the RAP protocol development, and as such they should have a global presence. This is a summary of the roles for a CoE are:
- Right to a representative on the GTC
- Option to lead an Innovation Partnership
- Key role in the relevant xRAP
- Embrace and support iRAP’s vision
