EuroRAP has warmly welcomed the appointment of Gary Liddle as the new chairman of the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP)
‘This is great news for everyone who is committed to saving lives and reducing serious injuries on roads in Europe and across the world,’ said EuroRAP chairman Ferry Smith. ‘Gary is a highly respected figure in the international road safety community. His experience in senior roles in Australia is dramatic proof of the way that targeted road infrastructure investment can save lives and prevent serious injuries.
‘EuroRAP and its members are hugely looking forward to working with our new chairman. All RAP members around the world have a tremendous challenge ahead of us in 2017 as we work to drive forward SDG 3.6.
‘Gary will have our full support as we campaign for 3-star or better roads across Europe and to deliver iRAP’s international mission of saving lives.’
