AMZS, the Slovenian motoring club and EuroRAP member, has been awarded a two-year contract to risk rate and star rate roads across the country.
The contract, which was awarded by the Slovenian state infrastructure agency, DRSI, commissions AMZS to risk rate 6,000 KM of state roads in 2016. In 2017 AMZS will star rate 500km of state roads.
The new contract runs alongside the existing 2015-2016 contract with the Slovenian motorway authorities (DARS) in which AMZS has video inspected and recorded 200km of motorways. As part of this contract AMZS will star rate 40km of the motorways which have been reconstructed since they were rated in the Sensor Programme in 2013/14.
Jure Kostanjsek, AMZS Road Safety Commission Secretary, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this very prestigious contract and we look forward to working with DRSI to help deliver safer roads in Slovenia.’
