International Cooperation – iRAP

iRAP (the International Road Assessment Programme) is the umbrella global programme for Road Assessment Programmes (RAPs) that are working to save lives.  Worldwide, iRAP and its regional ‘X’RAP programmes, among which includes EuroRAP, are influencing the safety of large-scale investment. RAP programmes and projects have now been undertaken by partners in more than 110 countries worldwide covering Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Africa. Over 1,600,000km of roads have been Risk Mapped and 1,400,000km of roads and designs have now been Star Rated.

Each year iRAP reports to our donor, the FIA Foundation, on road assessment programme developments and success globally  The inclusion of RAP metrics in the UN Global Road Safety Targets 3 and 4, Sum4All and the 2018 WHO Global Road Safety Status Report are significant global achievements influencing EuroRAP and national programmes.

EuroRAP is committed to the impacts at global scale and reports its results annually as a regional RAP ensuring global RAP success.
