The Project Group “Safer Roads and Mobility” of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration Group (UNRSC) has published “The Ten Step Plan for Safer Road Infrastructure”. This report features the work of iRAP, namely the Vaccines for Roads resource summary of road infrastructure assessments on 358,000km of roads from 54 countries worldwide where more than 700 billion kilometers of vehicle travel occurs every year. Credits are given to the RAP Protocols. The report also includes iRAP’s business case for safer road infrastructure that estimates the gains of achieving the UN Target 4 for more than 75% of travel on the equivalent of a 3-star or better standard for all road users.

In addition, EuroRAP’s partner Vias Institute and the Global Road Safety Partnership have published a document assisting countries in monitoring and reporting on the 12 Voluntary Global Road Safety Performance Targets. A consensus on the latter had been reached during a meeting of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Member States in November 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland. The document is endorsed by the WHO. Among the key contributors is Mr. Rob McInerney, the CEO of iRAP. This report also includes the RAP Protocols.
